QRG - Item Transaction History

Description and Purpose
Have you ever wanted to know the specific history of a stock item and figuring it out was not easy? You would have to jump around to the various transactions and tables to assess what happened. FINET now has a new query page to help you understand the stock item’s history.

The Inventory Transaction History, ITH, is a complete record of the Inventory transaction for a stock item in which the On-hand quantity is involve, even if modified to zero.

Process/Instructions
In order to use the Transaction History you will need a minimum of two items.
  1. Warehouse where the item is kept
  2. Stock Item number
There are other fields that you can use to help find the item including a date range, but also the fields under the show more.

Once you have your search information you can perform a search.

To perform a search:
  1. Enter the Warehouse
  2. Enter the Stock Item
  3. Enter other information as desired
  4. Click Apply
Below the search box you will see the results. Each line contains information regarding a specific change to the stock item.

The information on the line is configurable by clicking on the gear and toggling specific items on or off.

If a transaction ID is displayed, you can click on the number to enter the specific transaction.

If you want to see information in the fields not activated by the gear, you can expand the line by clicking the triangle found at the beginning of the line.

The expanded line provides additional information about the individual history entry including the location in the warehouse, the PO or SRQ transaction, the Pick ID or the Event type, often associated with the inventory freeze.

Since there must be a quantity On-Hand for an entry to be recorded, including going to zero, notice that every line has a running total of the quantity on hand easily visible.

In addition, the associated timestamp of when the change happened is displayed. The most recent entry will be at the top of the list.

So, from the Inventory or Item Transaction History, one can find all the activity that happened on the item, including the timestamp, the changed amount, and the PO, SRQ or IA IDs of the transaction that make the change, linkable to the transaction.
