Excel Querying Data Warehouse (Microsoft Query)

Excel Querying Data Warehouse (Microsoft Query)

It appears recent Office 365 Updates (2024) have impacted the menu choices for those of you who use the Microsoft Query to access State Data Warehouse.

If you no longer see the Microsoft Query in the 'Other' query option, please see below for instructions.  You will need to enable "from Microsoft Query (Legacy)".

Instructions
In an Excel spreadsheet, go to FILE and then to Options

Then select Data

Locate the section Show legacy data import wizards,  and ensure that the From Microsoft Query is selected.

When you open a new excel worksheet to create a new query for Statedw

In the Data menu, select Get Data,  in the drop down menu choose  Legacy Wizards, and there you will see from Microsoft Query Legacy
